Materials: dried flowers, moss agate stone and recycled solid 14k gold.

As the flowers decay, the sculptural structure evolves to create a living, wearable artwork. We include an extra bouquet for you to add at whatever stage of the evolution you like. Once all the flowers have fallen, you will be left with the permanent structure of the solid gold earring and stone.

Each piece is hand crafted in London by Birgit Toke Tauke Frietman. This earring is one of a kind and is designed and sold to be worn as a single earring.

The collaboration came about during lockdown 2020 when a need to connect and be creative felt more crucial than ever. There was an immediate relationship between Frietman’s love of natural form and Aardes’ connection to nature and botanical prints.

With the gold pinch bails, which will be left after the flowers have decayed, we encourage the wearer to make their own bouquets or adornments to add to the earrings, expanding the collaboration further.
